The 4CH1 specification covers: principles of chemistry; inorganic chemistry; physical chemistry; and organic chemistry.
There is no separate practical exam. The specification includes practicals such as making salts, electrolysis, titration and rates of reaction, and the written papers ask you to describe methods, process results and evaluate experiments. Tutors cover each practical and the calculations linked to it, such as moles and percentage yield.
